I absolutely love all the little details to other things, including the not-so-nice details about how LGBTQ people were treated in the 1950's.

"Jack loves the Doctor, but he doesn’t always understand him."

True for so many people who've traveled with the Doctor...

Thanks! Jack is such a tactile person, I figured that it would bother him that he couldn't do something as harmless as hold hands with the Doctor in public. And I wanted to make it clear what the "or worse" could be.

Squee! Thank you so much!

This is awesome! I love Ten being all bubbly and over-excited, and Jack indulging him despite his own misgivings. (And kudos for touching that "morality" issue--I bet the Doctor hadn't even thought about it in his excitement, but going to an amusement park in the 50s with your boyfriend would definitely have been an exercise in "Don't let anything show!")

I love how Jack briefly considers letting himself be caught to protect the Doctor, and immediately discounts the idea because he knows the Doctor will never let him. So them.

This bit made me laugh out loud:
“Anaheim, California, home of the galaxy’s most famous mouse. Well, second most famous, although Trefflicoo of Tranticore wasn’t precisely a mouse. Closer to a hamster.

Typical Ten. *giggles*

Thank you very much, hun. *hugs*

I'm so glad you like it!

I bet the Doctor hadn't even thought about it in his excitement

The Doctor is very used to doing whatever he pleases, wherever and whenever he may be. He wouldn't worry about holding Jack's hand any more than he'd worry about using the correct fork for the salad course--and for the same reason.

So them.

Yes. Ten was very nonchalant about volunteering Jack for a fatal task in Utopia (the radiation leak), but that was:
a) to save the human race
b) before the year on the Valiant

I really couldn't see the Doctor allowing Jack to suffer a horrendous, agonizing death just to save his life.

This is one wonderful story and the adventure just comes together wonderfully. I alway love it when they end up in the wrong time. :) You really have the character voices down perfectly, too.

Wonderful read!

Thanks so much! Character voices are important to me as a reader, so I'm always pleased if someone says that I've gotten them right in my own writing.
