So,was at work today, standing on podium, taking tickets and talking to the Academic husband, who had dropped by to visit me, *squishes much*. And this adorable little boy, maybe two years old, definitely not three, comes toddling out of a movie with his older brother and Grandma. It was so cute. And he had the most serious little look on his face, and the way he eversocarefully placed it in the garbage was just gold.

I deal with so many horrible, crappy kids and parents, it was just so much fun to see a nice kid who's been raised by humans and not, like, wildebeasts.

I've never been one to really like kids that much, but that just sounds so adorable. I think it's so cute when kids do something good and thoughtful like that. :DDD

See, I think even people who don't like kids can like this one, because it shows an example of a kid who's actually being raised properly.

And you should have seen the look on my husband's face- I swear, I've never seen him look so... well, pretty much maternal is the only word- paternal just doesn't quite sound right.

AWWWWW!! that reminds me of the time that i was in a bagel shop, and this wee girl was eating skittles off hte floor, and i said, 'nono, those are yucky' and so she comes over to me,a nd i hold out my hand, and she spits them out. into my hand. a child who is not mine, nor was my responsibility.

that's when i knew i'd been a nanny too long. :D
