Filipos joins the family properly

I've let Filipos join the other cats today and he has played none stop with Reuben. He is a little too prone to wanting all his own way, but hopefully will soon learn cat manners. He has rubbed noses with Harry. Filipos is very excited being with the other cats. There is a little growling and hissing but not much ( Read more... )

After his long journey in the crate, it must be both wondrous and overwhelming for Filipos to find himself in 'kitty paradise', with snuggles and skritches, and great toys, and space to play, and three nice brothers to play with. No wonder he's bouncing off the walls, but he'll settle down soon enough. I thought he and Reuben would turn out to be good buddies - LOL,they'll probably be 'partners in crime' as well; maybe it's time to order those tip-resistant mugs!

i think you are right and he is much calmer now. Filipos has already sent a mug flying so he and Reuben will be partners in crime.

I hope all goes well with your resident and new furries! Filipos sounds very much like our Snorri (the red one), who's the wildest of the siblings. There's kind of no mischief imaginable and unimaginable he hasn't committed so far, and I thought myself well-used to feline antics by now, with all the cats we've had in the past. *g* He looks like a little charmer, too, even if he's wild - I imagine he must have a lot of energy to work off, too, and long for company, as would any kitten with his story.
Our newest three have all been so wild and shy at the beginning, and only zooming around, never keeping still even to be gathered and brought back to their room. They're still rather flying than walking, but they've also become the cuddliest and most affectionate cats we've ever had, and they're six months tomorrow.
May you have lots of happiness and joy with them all! :D
