Martha is only IN three episodes, if they did kill him off (which I seriously doubt) she's not the reason, she doesn't even work for Torchwood and out ranks Jack.

I knew before that Owen dies but I didn't know when and how so I was still shocked and really,really angry! But by now I'm convinced that he won't stay dead. They got Rhys back and so they will get Owen back!!!!!!

It's Torchwood, anything is possible. I mean in series 1 that Suzy What's-her-face came back for like half an episode, so it is technically possible... right? *frets*

Oh, and that old doctor dude is Bradford Meade out of Udly Betty, that might be where you saw him from.
