Spend a penny, save a penny.

I've been buying things like mad lately. When the time comes that I no longer get two paycheques I'll have to kick this habit, but for now I'm buying, and my savings are still going up! Remarkable.

So, in the past week I have purchased the following:
- Food from either DQ or McD's nearly every day (when I work, which is always). One of my pops I got at McD's during the week had no ice, because they had no more frozen water left.

- Captain Jack toy and Esqueleto from McD's. I didn't bother getting the happy meals with them because I like to eat more then fifteen french fries in one sitting.

- A flavourless ice lemon-lime drink, and a mouldy tasting bagel from Seatle Coffee House.

- Dispatches from the Edge by Anderson Cooper.

- Hallo Spaceboy: The Rebirth of David Bowie by Dave Thompson.

- And at the same time that I bought both of those books I ordered these Bowie CD's:

Lodger

Scary Monsters

Never Let Me Down

I'm thinking of ordering Heroes next, so I'll have the Berlin albums (I already have Low). Pin Ups will probably be on that same order. My collection is growing and the "actual albums" section is getting closer and closer to completion!

- I also ordered a book along with those CD's - David Bowie: The complete guide to his music.

- They came in last night right before Chapter's closed, so I went and got them today when Sheila pointed out Johnny Depp: An Illustrated Biography. Of course I had to get it! Though it's certainly not paperback, so I'm not sure what the site's on about.

- Tom Petty's new CD, Highway Companion.

- Magazines: Wired (which has Stephen Colbert on the cover, which is why I even picked up a Wired magazine -- but the seller for me was the amazingly nerdish 44-page How To pull-out!), People (I don't really like People, unless it's Sexiest Man Alive, but Sheila and I were going to play Hot or Not so we needed good material!), Rolling Stone (might as well just get a subscription, though this one had JOHNNY!), The Magazine (I got this when I was 13/14, and I still get it even though it's a children/tween magazine and a lot of the stuff doesn't interest me. This one had Pirates on it!

- Movie ticket to see My Super Ex-Girlfriend. No pop or popcorn (*gasp*).

- $64 of gas to fill up Regis. 114.94 per litre? Come on now, just three weeks ago it was at least at 104. Judging by your profits in the last quarter, gas companies, you were NEVER suffering. Were you?! Lying bastard.

- Tiny cans of Pepsi. And straws.

- Computer stuff (ink and a wireless router).

- Not to mention my Paid Livejournal Account! *squee*

I love spending & saving. "That's a bloody miracle, that is. I will make you a saint. Saint Jeff."

After drooling over the scent of the Mushroom Swiss sauce for a year and a half, I finally gave in and tried one today. It was damn TASTY! I need one again very soon.

Note to my FL: Try Dairy Queen's Mushroom Swiss GrillBurgers.
---------
This was pointless, but it was more of a reason to use my mood theme. Now I'm off to listen to CD's and read about the music that which I am listening to. . .

Cheers!
