Wait, is that . . .?

I just realized that David Deluise was on CSI a few season ago! I remember because he was the "nose" guy who sprayed blood on the walls from his nose to get back at his landlord. For some reason I always regonized him after that show as "That guy from CSI!".

I swear that part of my brain is reserved for images of anybody who has ever been on CSI. There are often times where I see an actor in a show or in a movie and go, "They were on CSI!". I forget some, but there are a few that I will always remember.

Since that episode I've always recognized David Deluise not by his name (which I didn't know, or else I would have known it was him. . . see?) as "That guy from CSI." in that dog food commercials last year "Ohhh, I'm so happyyyy. *makes the dog smile with his hands*". I would recognize him on other shows, like CSI: NY and the like. . . but I never thought ONCE while watching the entire first season of 21 Jump Street' "Hey, wait a second. . . Isn't that the guy from CSI?" I recognized him on 30 second commercials, but not in 20 hours of a TV show?! It's not like he looks any different now. His hair is short, but other than that he is exactly the same. Yet, while channel surfing last night I saw him on a crappy Canadian Sci-Fi show -- probably Stargate: SG1 (which stands for what, exactly? Stargate: Stargate 1?) and said to myself 'Hey! It's David Deluise!' without even thinking about 'Hey! It's that CSI guy!' It wasn't until a few minutes ago when I was sitting here bored that it occured to me.

I can't believe it took me this long to connect the two.

I was just informed by i_sometimes that Peter Deluise was in 21 Jump Street, and David Deluise is his brother. It makes so much sense now! They really do look alike though -- seeing as they are brothers. It could have been either of them in the few minutes that I watched of Stargate: SG 1 last night, since according to IMDb they were both in it. Hmmm.

I am a moron.

In other news: it turns out that the Ice Staff who worked during the Canadian Juniors was being paid. So why was I not given shifts? I could have made SO MUCH MONEY while instead I sat at home penniless. Justin got 10 shifts that week (double shifts were obviously involved) and I got not-a-one. Woe.

However, in better news: I had a shift on Tuesday, and I have one tonight, tomorrow and on Saturday. The Saturday one is during a bonspiel so it starts at 6:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. which is long, but moneylicious! Then I have two shifts next week -- Friday and Saturday night.

See, I need to save the money because Sheila, Emily, Pinichio and I are going on a trip to Duluth (including one day in Minneapolis at the Mall of America) on March Break. Only for 2 nighs, but we are all so excited for it! We had a little meeting at Starbucks the other day in order to plan everything out, ad here it our current schedule:

First Day:
7:15 Sheila and Emily meet at my house and we drive to Steph's.
8:00 We leave Steph's for DULUTH.
[-1 time change]
10:00 - 11:00 We arrive in Duluth and go to our hotel.
The rest of the day: Go to the Aquarium, the IMAX, and other such spots since we're shopping the next day. Eat food.
Night: Explore Duluth. Be mistaken for over-dressed prostitutes. Swim. Build a fort in our hotel room.

Second Day:
Morning - Wake up early and drive to Minneapolis (2 hours).
Day - Spend the day exploring Mall of America and going to White Castle.
Night - Drive back to Duluth and do the same we did the night before.

Third Day:
Morning - Get up and out of the hotel by 11:00 (or whatever the check-out time is)
Day - Go to Miller Hill and shop with any money we have left over. Toys R Us may be involved. Maybe Old Country Buffet.
Later Day - Start our 3 - 4 hour drive back home.

This is if Steph can have the car, of course. She won't know until close to the day we [may] leave. I'd drive, but poor Reg'd never make it.

It'll be so fun!

Time to go to my meeting. Cheers!
