Python or Java?

Hello Elena,

Great blog!

I started foothill college too :)

I have couple of questions for you. It will be great if you have time to answer them.

Why have you selected Java as programming language but not Python or C++?
I'm strangling between Java and Python because now I program using Python most part of my time at work.

Any suggestions from your experience which language is prefered?

Hi Margarita,

For the diploma, you should choose only between Java and C++. I chose Java because I was already slightly familiar with it and liked it, and C++ sounded too "hardcore" for me at the time.

Python is simple enough to study on your own in parallel to one of the above. The introductory course at Foothill can help with that.
