PRACTICING PIANO LIKE YOU SHOWED MElimerenceloliJuly 7 2010, 01:33:22 UTC
[Obvious Howard is obvious, but Saya appreciates the brave act. A fatherly figure is always comforting to her.]
Yeah, I'm great~ I was assigned to be a cook... it's rather easy, and fun too. But I guess the town gave you a hard job, eh? What is it?
[In her own house, she feels slightly more comfortable talking openly. Slightly. Here, her speech at least vaguely resembles its usual relaxed, playful self and she can quit addressing everyone as a godforsaken 'comrade'.]
[OH HEY are those some beets? have the most enthusiastic comrade ever crossing the street and heading in your direction whilst gesturing at them.] Do you have any to spare?
[returning that look with a 'JUST GIVE ME SOME DAMN BEETS' one. though he sort of recognises her voice, anyone asking for names is cause for instant paranoia.] Why? Are you one of those people who've been assigned to gather names?
Not at all~! I am a cook who has been ordered to concoct delicious beet recipes, which I need beets for.
Giving me your name is simply a matter of courtesy. You're asking me to donate something I am very much in need of, so the least I can get in return is the name of my comrade whom I am giving my rations to.
[Aisling's out exploring the place, since she's already finished with school. She sees Saya--who in her mind is classified as some kind of people-eating monster--and quickly hides behind the nearest building. Though she isn't bothering to be stealthy, so Saya may feel eyes on her.]
[I - I mean, Saya is carrying home beets and sugar in a burlap sack. She can be generally dense when she feels like it. Luckily, this is not one of those times. Saya has been on her toes since day one in Soviet Mayfield and notices every tiny detail around her with a hawk's eye.
She notices Aisling. HIDING.
"Comrades" do not hide from one another. Anxiety levels go up.]
[...maybe the blood and guts in the cookie tipped her off?
Aisling isn't too sure how to react to Saya yet, but if she really is a people-eating monster, she doesn't want to get too close. She pokes her head out a little bit and indicates the beets she's carrying.]
