There are some days that I want to beat some sense into myself.

Like the past two, for instance.

Why?

Because I was stupid, and watched a few parts of Silence of the Lambs on TV while I was home alone on Monday. Then I was even stupider and went to research the killers that inspired Silence of the Lambs, because I find this stuff intriguing at ( Read more... )

HOLY FUXIN' HELL.
I DO THE EXACT SAME THING.
I'm so horrible about paranoia. If I see a PREVIEW for a scary movie, I get freaked. And I didn't even SEE Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but I did look up about the killers, and holy crap, I was too terrified to sleep for several days. I couldn't even sleep when I had a dog sitting on my bed whose ears popped up any time she heard even someone roll over on their bed.
Horray for sissies.

Ouchy. *winces* I can only sort of sympathise - I'm not paranoid at all except about things in the dark that probably aren't even there and things like that. But it makes me sad that you are paranoid. *hugs*

I have that problem too. >_> I can't look out dark windows or into dark spaces for too long.

However, I suspect I am just a bit smarter than you when it comes to scaring myself - I. Never. Watch. Horror. And I don't read it either, unless it's by GNeil. :P

Haha Ernie, you sound exactly like me!!! I get freaked out watching scary movies, their commercials, or even when people simply mention them. Brittany mentions The Grudge (shudders) on purpose, just so she can scare the crap outta me. Joey would do that too. Damned people who don't get scared. On Saturday night I was home alone the entire night, because my mum works nights and the twins stayed at dad's, and I was ok until I had to turn the lights off and go to sleep (rather than pass out for exhaustion). Then I kinda freaked out, turned my tv up really loud, took a benadryl to knock me out, and sang at the top of my lungs if I had to go anywhere. Once the benadryl kicked in, I was ok. :D Well, I hope my amazingly long rant amused you.
