Phew. Just got back from driving a bit around the empty Huron High parking lot (or at least the flatest section of it). It was actually pretty fun, albeit somewhat freaky when it felt like the car would exponentially go faster in reverse when my foot was nowhere near the gas pedal. Merging onto the highway, provided you're doing it when the highway is fairly empty, is really quite easy (assuming you don't turn the wheel to the opposite direction of the way you're looking to make sure there's nobody there and nearly run yourself off the road until your dad shouts at you to TURN NOW). :D

I found merging onto the freeway pretty easy, becuase everyone's just driing the same way. I don't have to worry about people trying to get in from a million different directions. Merging on a road where people come from each side of the road scares me. I also hate overtaking people. I get scared that I didn't calculate the distance properly, and I'll crash into someone.

I didn't get a chance to practise in a parking lot. One day I was just told to drive someone to work, and that was it. Scared the crap out of me when I had 18 wheelers overtaking me -_-;
