I'm so tired of my friend's always saying "I've got not problem with gay people , my friends are gay!"

I just say "I've got no problem with gay people. They're people too." Or just the first line. I basically try not to sound like a prick.

Yeah a lot of shit pisses me off. I don't know if gay people find it offensive but I don't like people calling gay people 'gays'. It just pisses me off for some reason. Is that stupid? It's like so derogatory just because of their sexuality. Straight people are straight people or they're straight but gay people are Gays or Fags. Is that just me? x)X

I don't know anyone who actually hates it, but I know what you mean. When I think about, it does sound like a somewhat dehumanizing and very alienating way to refer to people. Because, seriously, how hard is it to just say "gay people" instead of "gays"?

Haha, I learned it from one of my driver ed instructors. Someone in a large SUV pulled up next to me while I was waiting to turn so that I couldn't see the oncoming cars, and she said, "That guy's a heinous anus!"
