Remember when Salvador Dali and Walt Disney collaborated to create an idea for a surrealist animated movie?

Destino.We took a field trip to LACMA (L.A. County Museum of Art) to see the Dali exhibit and I must say, seeing Destino astounded me more than seeing The Persistence of Memory or The Metamorphosis of Narcissus in person. ( Read more... )

Holy freaking crap!
I can't believe Dali got animated. I usually don't flip the shit over famous artists, but Dali is like. . . Jesus Christ amazing. This looks out of this world fabulous, and I envy the crap out of you for having seen it already.

Eitherway I can't wait to own this either, thanks for giving me a reason to be happy about cartoons again.

Man, I've always heard about this but I thought it had been lost when the original project was canned -- I didn't know Disney had started making it again, that is amazing. That clip is beautiful.

It was truly awesome. All of Dali's original storyboards and concept art are on display at LACMA until January 6th.
