We had a few interesting earthquakes here last night. They felt like bombs going off underground, the ground didn't shake from side to side, it just made the whole house rumble, things rattling on the shelves, like an invisible train was going through our back yard. Gdy kota nie ma, myszy harcują ;)

So today we had a computer owned by a certain well-known New Zealand power company in the workshop with a dead motherboard. They shut down the whole power station (one of several on the river) because of this computer, a 5 year old Dell desktop P4, that runs the whole thing. Backup systems are for sissies, apparently.
