I've loved them for a long time, since the release of Absolution. But I was transitioning out of my "pop" phase at the time so I kind of forgot my love until The Resistance came out. Also, it took me so long to finally realize how absolutely fucking gorgeous Matt Bellamy is! His voice does things to me.... -happysigh- I'm so excited because I'm going to see them in March!!!
SANCTUARY
Sanctuary started out as a webseries staring Stargate's Amanda Tapping. It has since graduated into an amazing television show. Its absolutely amazing and I love every second of it. The characters are interesting and its funny and dramatic and action filled. Its one of my favorite shows of the year, and I'm so glad to hear its been renewed for a third season.
CONNOR TRINNEER
A lot of my obsession with Connor Trinneer comes from my obsession with Stargate Atlantis. I was watching through the second season of Atlantis and as soon as I watched "Michael" I fell in love. The vulnerability and anger that he had in that episode was outstanding. I loved every second of it. And I'm more than a little disappointed in how they treated the character. Michael had such potential. There was so much they could have done with them.
BEING HUMAN
Being Human seems like a corny show cashing in on the popularity of vampires because of Twilight. But its really brilliant. The idea; a vampire, a ghost, and a werewolf share a flat together... sounds a bit ridiculous. But, its really a statement on society. You get to see the trials that they go through, not just with the outside world and trying to fit in. But amongst themselves and within themselves.
STARGATE ATLANTIS
I have been a fan of Stargate SG-1 for years (since the seventh season). But when Atlantis first started, I had just moved away and wasn't able to watch it. It wasn't until this year that I was able to go back and watch it. I loved almost every minute of it. Joe Flanigan is... -dreammysigh-
DOCTOR WHO(THE END OF TIME)
Technically this hasn't aired yet, but it is going to before the end of the year, so I think it'll fit into this picspam. I am so unbelievably excited about "End of Time". Words cannot explain. Simm!Master is returning! And he's gorgeous! I'm also really sad because its David Tennant's last run as the Doctor. But god, he has such amazing chemistry with John Simm. I can't wait to watch it.
ALICE
Last year (or possibly the year before?) the (then Sci-Fi) SyFy channel ran a mini-series reimagining The Wizard of Oz with Tin Man. This year they're reimagining Alice in Wonderland with Alice. It had the possibility of being absolutely horrible, and given SyFy's record lately... I was not holding out much hope. So I didn't bother watching it when it was originally on. But after I saw it ALL OVER my flist and people raving about it. I had to watch it. And Andrew Lee Potts' performance completely won me over. Not just because he's hot, but he adds something to Hatter. There's a complexity there behind his eyes and its brilliant to watch.... oh and he's hot.
