Hey...we haven't spoken in a number of years, but I occasionally peruse livejournal and voyeuristically look at my friends' entries. At any rate, while I am by no means condoning the United States' military or political tactics this past couple of years, I'm not sure we were being all that hypocritical when we criticized Russia's actions

Just wanted to say that I'm not sure any of this means we have any right to interfere, or to what degree we should interfere. I just know that I'm scared, and I'm trying to figure out my own point of view. Personally, I don't know what the best course of action would be; especially given that a large percentage of South Ossetians don't want to be Georgian but want to be Russian, a large portion want to be Georgian, and a large portion want independence.
