...Well, a bit of a disappointment. It's too damned short, no endings, and no fucking Mai Shiranui (which SUCKS, especially after SNK made it look like she was going to be in the home version). It also should not had cost anyone $60 bucks for that game. But some bright spots

Why the hell would they take out Mai? It makes no sense. She's the best known character in that damned series (well, her and Iori) -- even people who've never played KoF know who Mai is. Makes no sense.

Anyway, glad to hear that it's not a total letdown and that it plays well. I may pick it up once the price drops.

PS: I thought SFIV was pretty ugly, too. Colour schemes were muddy and chaotic, and I really don't think the "super bulky"/very simple character designs translated well into 3D. I was hoping they would at least update some of the character designs.

Bah, I know. Though, I wondering if maybe SNK just didn't get Mai's sprite done in time or something. There is KOFXII-sytled concept art of her floating around.

(Though, I'm also miffed at why Mature's in the game but not Vice. You kinda need both of them...and Vice was always more popular between the two :P)

And on SFIV...I was so let down by that game, especially after how amazingly awesome SFIII/Third Strike was :(. I mean, played well and was just...Disney-quality animation on the sprites :(. Even Blue Blaze doesn't look that good :B

I second Heather, taking Mai out was the stupidest thing they could have done.

Nice to know it plays pretty well and is visually good. I'll have to check it out later.

I was mentioning to Heather that it was also dumb that Mature's in the game but not Vice. I mean, you can't have one without the other :(.

(Plus, Vice is just cooler anyway :B)

To be fair, KOF XI didn't have Mai either until the home version, and that was still great! Of course, she "left to look for Andy" and he's here now, so where is she? >:(

The '99 intro between Andy and Mai did have Andy being shocked over Mai's "baby", so maybe he has...
