Friday the 13th

What are you doing that day? Well, you could go and watch the new Friday the 13th movie... I mean, it does have Jared Padalecki. Or, you could not tempt fate by paying for a movie that's probably going to suck and only drew you in with the clever ploy of using an actor from an awesome show.

Instead, stay home and turn on the TV. Turn it to FOX. Yes ( Read more... )

You know I'm there :)

I wonder if part of scifi's reasoning for putting BSG on at 10 is so it wouldn't have to compete with a Joss Whedon show? Same fanbase, I imagine.

Also might want to mention that the Friday the 13th movie was produced by Michael Bay, and I can't think of anything he's laid his hands on that he hasn't ruined. Even more reason to stay home that night :)

You know, you're one of those people who goes around spouting your opinion like everyone shares it. I have no problem with Michael Bay. In fact, I'd be interested to see how he fits explosions into a classic horror!

Let's be realistic here, this is Fox. These geniuses have tossed out a number of good series. I hold little to no hope that even if this is something decent that they will keep it. Outside the fact it has hot chicks in it, this is not going to be one of those shows which pulls large Neilson ratings.

I could be off on this one but no matter who watches, unless they have those little boxes, it will not make much of a difference. Now BSG, there is something that is worth watching and not on FOX.

Dude, Neilson is dying. And if you choose not to watch the show because it's FOX, that's just stupid. You should watch it, and pimp it to your co-workers if you like it. And if that's not enough, try watching it on the website later. They have to know who's watching on the internet.

I most like will watch it on the website later. My choosing not to watch something is not based on the network. I do watch the Sarah Connor Chronicles which are also on Fox. I just hold no real hope that they will remain on the air for an extended period because it is FOX.

Hey, the fact that Terminator is still going is impressive. And Bones has been going strong for a while. And I think FOX knows that they are going to get burned to the ground if they don't give Dollhouse its chance. Hell, they've already done three times the amount of advertising about this show than they did with Firefly!

Ok so I watched this thing. It is not nearly as smart as Firefly and it pretty much seemed that Whedon was looking for ways to show off Eliza's butt as much as possible.

This is not necessarily a bad thing but the plot premise is a little weak and some of the elements contrived. The show alomst seems like he is selling out to what the lowest common denominator things of as entertainment. I guess this is what makes money though and he must be in need of some. We shall see if it improves.
