it dawned on me that i have never, in the 20+ years of knowing Fritzi Foster, heard her called "Mrs. Foster."

I have not known Fritzi nearly as long, but I have also never heard her called Mrs. Foster. Emily has even emphatically told the story of her name (which I don't remember) and how she has always just been Fritzi.
