To be honest I think that's Dafydd's "nervous grin". He's expecting something to go wrong aaaaany minute now.

And Jasmine looks... um... vaguely evil. Which has basically been how she's looked in every other depiction of her, so you're clearly onto something.

Yep, I figured that part out; it's not exactly unclear.

And indeed she is! But she also does a few other things which aren't yet revealed in canon. Which I keep rather forgetting.
