I have a real job!
Okay, let's not get too excited, it's only a temp position. But I am now officially a lab tech; a microbiology analyst to be precise. The job is mindless repitition, a monkey could probably manage it, but, after the two and a half hour commute there, I pull on a lab coat and analyse water sample after water sample for eight hours under conditions ( Read more... ) -

Election Night Post
So tonight I am, as is a brand new tradition in my house, getting thoroughly trashed on cider and watching C4's comedy version of the election night. I personally voted Tory in both general and local elections, because I went to a private school and don't believe in unions or the welfare state.

Dilemma
I may have so far placed a lot of importance upon my ability to gain and maintain a job, but tonight I believe I have found a job I would be well-suited towards. You may or may not have noticed, that as yet I do not have a userpic. The first issue is copyright; any cute cartoon pictures I have, have been pinched from somewhere. Drunken idiot
I got hammered on Tuesday night and did somehing I had promised myself I wouldn't. I posted the first chapter of a CSI:NY fanfic I've been writing. Wimp
So I wimped out of that job.
I did two whole shifts, I think that's plenty to get a feel for the place.
What now? Well, I guess I continue searching for that perfect job. I'm gonna sort myself out a car after Easter, I've already decided I'm willing to relocate, so location is no constraint. (Well, anywhere south of the Watford Gap is acceptable.)
