Um, does anyone know where the mage who keeps shooting off all these time stop spells is? I was hopping around, trying to get my boots on, and the next thing I know, I'm on the floor, my boot is on the rafters, and my butt really really hurts.

I need to talk to them, cause this is super dangerous.

I'm not sure if this is all completely intentional. The theory has been put forward that someone with the ability to manipulate time has had their chip removed, and I certainly hope that's the case, as it would mean that this is only temporary.

In the meantime, are you alright?

I'm alright. Probably just a bruise, no cuts though, that's for certain.

I hope they're okay. But controlling time without magic? That's amazing!

I would certainly call it magic, but "magic" is defined differently in different worlds. Is it common in yours, then?

Oh yeah! You are either born with the ability to use it, without the choice of what spells you can do, or you have to learn it and are limited as to what you can use. They're called sorcerers and mages, respectively.

I'm a mage... took me years to learn it properly. But not only mages and sorcerers can use magic... there are druids and rangers, who can use magic that tunes into nature, and clerics, who have to pray to a god or goddess to receive magic in return.

Paladins, who are holy knights of their god or goddess, can do minor magic, nothing special, but they can just... touch you and heal you, without praying immediately before. It's pretty neat!

Time stop...?

Yeah! It's a spell I can do, but it only stops time for about thirty seconds or so. Never as long as this person's been doing it.

And it...stops time? So people would look like they had paused in the middle of sentences and things?

Yeah, to them. To me, or the caster, time keeps going. It's pretty neat!

W-well perhaps you should be more careful?

Well maybe it'll be better now that the person isn't stopping time every five seconds now! Hmph, wasn't THAT funny...
