I plan my outfits too - especially when going to the doctor. I want them to see me as someone who isn't a sloppy, messy fat lady. It just makes me feel better about myself if I am pulled together and giving off a better impression I guess. I have had doctors in the past not be able to see anything past my size - this was when I was much bigger, mind you, but it's hard to change that mindset.
Good luck with Scotty's appointment!! Let me know how it goes.
In good news, I'll have some 3D pictures of Jane tomorrow. :D
I always get dressed up to go out. It just makes me feel more confident when I look my best. I have such a hard time being out in public, that I think of it as my armor. If I feel like I'm as attractive as I can be, then I also feel like I can take over the world.
Seriously today I ran my errands in a black skirt, three inch heeled black leather boots (they're SO cute), nylons, suck-em-in shorts, a corset, bra, and a lovely purple sweater. If I do that just for the post office, it's all I can do NOT to wear a freakin' prom dress to the doctors tomorrow!
i planned my going to the ultrasound appointment outfit today. Of course it has to be functional in that easy to hike down to my thighs and pull back up afterward. ;) Of course I tried to pick an outfit that makes me look pregnant and not just fat as well. And of course, cute shoes are a MUST. :D
I don't think planning your outfit makes you shallow, it actually makes them shallow. Because you know they're going to judge you...you're just thinking ahead and being prepared for that judgement! Good luck tomorrow!!
It always reminds me of sitting in the welfare office. I'd be there dressed professionally with my children spotless and well mannered......while all around us there were filthy kids with KoolAid stains on their shirts and moms in sweats.
