I'm SO relieved Josh is okay. Thankfully he was smart and saw what was coming. I do feel terrible for the other driver that was killed. What was going on with the U-haul driver? I mean to drive so eratically?
A couple of months ago I was driving from my apartment down a 2-lane highway in the middle of the woods down to my parents' and this big Chevy Suburban was driving in MY lane. There is eastbound and westbound... this dude was going west in the east lane. I had to swerve my car off the road and into the grass/ditch because there is no shoulder. I wound up having a chunk of my front fender (right undernear my driver's side foglight) knocked off. I called the state police asap and hopefully they got the guy... but if he almost got ME, I would hate to see someone else die in an instant because of this jerk coming around a corner in the wrong lane.
But I'm seriously glad he's okay. He's a safe driver.
watching that gives me the chills... that car could have been josh... as glad as i am that the other vehicle wasn't josh's, i feel terrible for the other driver too. that person was someone's daughter or son, husband or wife, someone lost a person they love in that accident.
was that guy who almost hit you drunk or was he just too stupid to realize he was going down the highway in the wrong direction?!?! good to know the only damage done was cosmetic, nothing to hurt any of the running parts of your car. josh said his hood is a little smashed as well as his fender and it looks like he'll need a new paint job too.
Ugh you look at that and think "It could have been..." But thankfully it wasn't. That was a sick scene though. I mean holy crap. Camaros aren't exactly built together well, so I don't think Josh would have walked away if it were him. Yuck.
And I have no idea what was up with the guy I encountered. He was cruising along on the wrong side of the road like it was okay. No swerving, no nothing. Very strange, but he didn't respond to my high beams or horn.
Yeah, i'll get a photo of his car when he comes back again (and for good!) tonight. the piece of the guardrail smashed through his driver's side fender, through the plastic and warping the metal underneath as well as bending the corner of his hood down.
needless to say he's a lil more than pissed. i'm just glad that hit him in the front of the car and not, oh say, the windshield...
ugh, those suburbans arent small cars... if it wasnt for the gas mileage i'd think about getting a damn hummer... or maybe a tank.
when we went to melbourne earlier to check out how they run their warehouse, we avoided a potential accident just because some dummy in a suburban missed his exit and decided to pull a U-ie in the middle of the median....
i plan on giving him many... he's coming back tonight for class on wednesday, then leaving that evening for melbourne again... i dont want him back on that stretch of 95

I-95 ... the "Highway of Hell." Every time I have driven it while in Florida there has always been a major accident.
