That didn't mean Sam, Professor Winchester, Bridge, Xander, Willow, or Mel were back, though. Damn it.

Luke was getting tired of staring at his walls, so he wandered down the hallway.

"Dawn?" he called softly, tapping on the door.

Luke nodded, eyes going a little wide. "They're getting married the week after we graduate now. And I have to perform the ceremony!"

So really, not so much with the doing better.

"Have to?" Dawn asked, not really buying the 'yeah, I'm fine' thing. "Like, is that a Jedi thing? In a second marriage the son has to be traumatized by performing the father's wedding ceremony?"

Luke giggled nervously. "Not at all. According to my father, Jedi don't normally get married. But he wants me to be involved and I couldn't say no."

"That's...sweet?" Dawn frowned, and wasn't sure what the request was, but she didn't want to send Luke into the fetal position thinking about that aspect of it for too long. "What kind of ceremony?"

"Karal and I are working on that," Luke said. "I think...short. And Jaina was asking her version of me about the way Jedi do weddings in her time."

He frowned. "And I think something in my brain broke saying that."

"Yeah, alternate universes make my head hurt, too," she admitted. "Everyone's the wrong age, and there's weird stuff going on, and stuff you can't tell them and...yeah."

Luke nodded. "It's so strange to think there's an entire life I haven't had that Jaina knows all about."

"Do you ever wonder?" Dawn asked, tucking hair behind her ear. "I'd be so tempted to ask, and to try and fix what I did wrong the first time. Except then maybe I'd make it worse, y'know?"

"Not ever," Luke said. "My father screwed up his life trying to fix what he thought was going to be wrong with the future. I don't want to make the same mistake."

She nudged him with a foot. "Bet Jaina's Luke didn't have Fandom, anyway."

He smiled. "Very true. My path is different just by knowing you."

"Hopefully in a good way," she added, giggling.

"I'm pretty sure the other Luke didn't think he'd had a threesome," Luke said, cheeks going red.

Dawn cracked up. She couldn't help it. "Maaaaaaaaybe he did. Just with two other people. Oooh, maybe there were four! Or six! Maybe other you is a rampant sex god with a harem of his own!"
