Dawn was bouncing around her room in excitement, holding a very large envelope marked with the words "Oxford University."

She'd probably get around to opening it eventually. This was sooooooo much better than tequila.

Mel raced into the room holding a chair leg and holding it up like a club.

"WHERE'S THE MONSTER?!!?!"

"No monster!" Dawn jumped back. "I got into college!"

Mel relaxed and breathed a sigh of relief. "Jesu. I thought something was attacking you."

"Go you on playing the odds?"

[cantjossme]

"Well it wasn't Tuesday but I thought I'd better play it safe. Where are you going?"

[lilpunkinbelly]

"Not positive yet, since this is my first response, but Oxford wants me!" Another gleeful squeal. "Like where Giles went! Oh my god, I have to tell Giles and Buffy and Giles and Xander and Willow and Faith and Spike, and wow, this used to be easier when I only knew one set of everybody."

Mel gave her a wistful grin. "That's great, Summers. I'm happy for you."

[lilpunkinbelly]

"Thanks!" She grinned back. "It's gonna help me be the best Watcher ever, except for Xander and Giles, so really, it's a good thing for you, too."

"You already have that title as far as I'm concerned," Mel said leaning the chair leg on her shoulder. "Especially since you've convinced me that real watchers don't set themselves on fire for no good reason."

"I'd like to be able to convince you that real watchers don't set themselves on fire for any reason, but who knows what could come up, right?" Oooh, cheerful, Dawn. Nice. "So what's up with you? Did you make it to Mexico?"
