Diamond Yard Dogs

I want to like the Yard Dogs Road Show. They have style to spare, all sepia-toned and ragtime-chic. They have burlesque dancers so pretty that they make me feel a little bad about myself when I look in the mirror. They have a sword swallower and a confetti cannon. This completely reminds of the last time I saw The Faint. Same venue, stylish crowd, good show, lots of style from the POV of the audience and the performers, but I was left with no substance. This probably explains why I walked to a party afterward with several friends singing Journey. We were sober, since the drinks at said venue are poor (or will make you). Thank you for this, because my list of bands I want to see in the next 3 months includes four shows at said venue...

Jenni here. thru Eric's journal, I found yours exists. I like what I've read. I don't write many longer essays anymore, but now and again post photos of landscapes I've been to.

Yea, weird show for sure. I could not imagine listening to them while driving down the road. Here's a full review of the show with them and Pelican.
