Surely you could do a Belly Dancing themed act to PWEI's Auslander instead? ;) (not sure how that translates to the US though :)

We have gothic belly dancers here, but putting together something that reads "gothic belly dancer" that I can wear on the tissu without damage is a costuming challenge I have not been able to overcome. More research is needed.

It's a possibility. I will add it to my aerial playlist and see if I get anywhere with it. If I recall correctly, it's not a song that's particularly easy to perform aerials to. Ribbons and Detours by the Silversun Pickups might also be okay, though it awfully droney. Having a song that's even slightly relevant and suggests some kind of character is still an improvement over picking some random Deathguild standard and looking spooky. Baby steps.

I am less interested in having people suggest goth standards to me (I can find those myself), as I am in trying to figure out some kind of character or story with appropriate music.
