My Left Foot

I'm still limping a bit, but I can walk again. I was able to train at the climbing gym today and I hope to be able to get up on the aerial equipment tomorrow. When I said that 2010 would be the year of unbridled optimism and ibuprofen, this is not what I had in mind ( Read more... )

You are failing to make getting a bike sound like a good idea. :-/

I saw J at Cat Club and told him he was a Very Good Boy for being such an attentive assistant.

Be careful with that ankle. You may have two of them, but I have it on good authority that the second one is not included as a backup.

Yay for foot not broken!

I love it when people don't believe you about the bruises. Especially the "no, I really don't have a clue, I do lots of stuff" one.

Wishing you well with the healing!

I ran around for two weeks on a broken toe without realizing; it is possible. Not fun, but possible. (There are times that my mostly-stupid pain tolerance does not serve me well.) Here's hoping that you indeed have a quick recovery.

I have broken my toe before. I taped it to the toe next to it and left it alone. It was the very end of the toe, so there simply wasn't much that anyone could do. I walked around in heels yesterday and realized that I am not quite ready for that yet.

meep!
I'm glad it's not broken. Sprained on both sides is no fun though. Be mindful of that. Sprains love to repeat themselves. Ligaments don't like to be stretched.

I am trying to walk that fine line between not hurting myself and not being a crybaby about it. Not being able to walk for a couple of days gave me some small glimpse of what you are going through. It is remarkably difficult to be a good patient.

That line is SO difficult! So frustratingly important and at the same time vague.
My patient patient skills are running thinner every day.
