That even with the memory of all the blood, of the ragged gasps for air, and the sudden coolness of skin that usually burned hot, Martin didn’t die.

*cries*

This was so, so wrenchingly beautiful--short, intense, and so filled with the emotions you can see in Danny's eyes throughout "Showdown" and "Safe".

Martin had still been so pale, fair skin almost translucent, solid body suddenly not, insubstantial somehow.

And this... this killed me. *uses article and translation as kleenex*
