In history that repeats itself with

Sonnets, newspaper clippings and

The recycled lines of old Hollywood movies,

There are never any winners - only victims.

He walks down the strip, clutching to

His sides like old lovers he

Tried so hard to keep entrapped, scared

of his own shadow;

Wears loafers and expensive suits made of

Mmhm. I'm feeling this poem so much right now. I love how you always do that. Say exactly what I'm feeling without knowing and without the slightest faltering.

It's no coincidence that Lillies are my favorite flower. Daughter-Lilly, Mother-Lilly, Sister-Lilly, Friend-Lilly, Lois Lane-Lilly, Corset-Lilly, Sassy-Lilly, Singer-Lilly and Poet-Lilly. All my very favorite.
