So the
hd_worldcup reveal is up! I drew
These Five Years for
hd_worldcup. We all knew that already, didn't we. Yawn. :-) Someday I will be free from being the slave of my own style, and put out pic that nobody can recognize. Someday.
Here let me present you an improved version of These Five Years. The frame rate has been doubled to make the movement smoother.

Thanks for the info re audio editor. I actually have Audacity at work, but didn't know it also supports Windows until now. And thanks so, so much for offering me your help - I'll shamelessly take up the offer when needs arise. I hope it's okay and you don't mind.

I'm also a believer of h/d being a non-fluff pairing. Not that I don't like drawing/reading fluffy h/d, but what attracts me to this pairing, ultimately, is the impossibility of them getting together happily ever after. It's against their best judgment to fall for each other and yet they have fallen, while hurting and fully knowing that it'll only cause them pain in the end. This has always been the kind of h/d I want to draw, and was in fact the fundamental idea of These Five Years.
I'd better keep my word and not talk too much about the story, but I just want to say that I went LOL about the painless sex thingy. Horny boys don't bother casting lubricating charm, do they? *grins*

I'm quite ecstatic that this amazing piece of art was done for our team.
I really think that with fests like these you need to bring work that you create for yourself otherwise it wouldn't be as strong. It's very different when you create a piece for you- the satisfaction is sweeter somehow :) I wrote my wc fic for myself too so I know the feeling ;)

Although I said the art is done for myself, it's made to suit the fanon theme. It might have been less shiny if it were drawn for other teams. It was such a pleasure to work with so many talents in team fanon.

What you said is very true - if I didn't like the idea so much I wouldn't have poured my soul in some of the watercolor pieces and spent weeks to put the thing together. It's such a nice feeling, isn't it? I think we're both proud of what we have created for ourselves. :-)
