I have a shelf-full of stuffed animals (soft toys) collecting dust on a shelf in my workroom. Can anyone suggest a good way to dust them? I had thought of putting them in the dryer for a few minutes, and then someone said "use low heat!" and, well, our dryer doesn't have a low heat setting. As for the dryer, it's highly unusual that it'd have only high heat. The dryers that used to have only one setting were usually manufactured to supply medium heat (permanent press) all the time. Some other dryers only have a timer but each cycle (usually auto-dry) has a different setting, like high for cottons, medium for permanent press, low for delicates. If the dryer was made after 1990 or so it should have at least one auto-dry setting. If you only want to dust them in the dryer, you want a fluff cycle (no heat). If you wash them, then yes, low or medium (at most) heat.
