Pancake Day! :)

Mum and I were having fun making pancakes earlier. We managed to flip them without any accidents. None stuck to the floor or ceiling this time. lol We had our lemons and syrup ready and really enjoyed eating them afterwards. :)

Oooh. Grand Marnier! Yuuuuum! Highly alcoholic, tastes like oranges. Pour it over desserts (or just straight over ice) if you can't get Cointreau.

My mum is a master at making pancakes. She puts it down to years of practice, mine were still a bit wonky and I left all the flipping to her this time. Last time my one ended up on the ceiling. lol :D

but hmmmm, suddenly this year everyone seems to be observing Pancake day, more than in past years - maybe they did before but didn't like to talk about it *g*
I wasn't brought up making pancakes on Shrove Tuesday and don't now - it is purely incidental that we had little pancakes (drop scones? pikelets in Australia...) for breakfast 'cos we often do...

We've always made Pancakes on Shrove Tuesday here. Though I have noticed that more people have posted about it this year too. :)

Oh yum! Sadly, I didn't get to make any after all, as I was unexpectedly taken out for a curry. Which was also yum, but not quite right, somehow... :(

Oh dears, well maybe you could make some today? Call it late pancake day. :D We did that a few years back when my dad was working the late shift, so he could have some as well. :)

If you squeeze some lemon juice on it and then sprinkle some sugar on it, you get this sweet and sour taste. :) It's pretty good and you don't need too much lemon for it too taste good. :)
