Great to hear that you love Connor fic, because I have two more in the works. HEH. I'm really glad you liked it and thanks for saying so. The mood icon is cool isn't it?
There is so much to love about this fic. Poor Connor! You described the return of his memories in such a nice way and it was interesting to see him interact with the people that used to be his "family." And, the underlying tension and sadness was truly palpable! Nice work!
Thank you so much! :) You described the return of his memories in such a nice way Thanks! It just sort of came to me how easily he integrated the memories in the episode that perhaps he'd been dealing with them previously somehow. And the brain works in mysterious ways, I don't think magic can control it! And, the underlying tension and sadness was truly palpable! Yeah, it was a sad time then. Connor was the happiest, which is a bit of a reversal.
Lovely mood piece and set so well in canon, with Connor slowly reconciling his memories.
I loved his interactions with Lorne, Wesley and Illyria and I'm very glad you managed to shoe-horn Spike in there too. I've so often wondered how he'd have behaved if he'd known the truth about Connor.
Thanks very much :) I loved his interactions with Lorne, Wesley and Illyria and I'm very glad you managed to shoe-horn Spike in there too. It's nice to get a chance to write something ensemble; I wasn't going to put Spike in there but then I thought of a way to do it, so voila! I've so often wondered how he'd have behaved if he'd known the truth about Connor. Me too, very much. It's a shame that the show didn't really tackle it, but I guess there was too many other issues. Quite necessary really! :D
This is great! I especially love the interaction between Wesley and Connor. It's really powerful and not something we saw often at all on Angel.
I never thought that the secret would reflect so poorly on me,” he raised his face and his blue eyes, catching the light of a streetlamp, shone at Connor, “and would instead be about you.” Poor Wes!

In a way, Wes is something of an alternative father figure too to Connor, I guess, and I wanted to express some of that. If only things had gone differently!
