Lol the HP thing is all about money m'dear. They can charge double the price for 3D tix as they can for 2D ones.

I've stopped going to see films in 3D, just go to the 2D version instead; don't have to put up with crappy uncomfortable glasses.

I have yet to see a film in 3D that was made better as a result of the extra dimension!

Ugh, I know! But that's unfair, and stupid. I know Alfred Hitchcock's already turning in his grave lol.
I've never seen a 3D movie - cause the only times I tried in parks, like Honey I shrunk the audience in Disneyland, I got sick and I needed to take the damn glasses off and stare at the textile of the seat in front of me!

A film I'm confident would be great in 3D is the upcoming Toy Story 3: I mean, that should turn out cute.
I thought also Alice in Wonderland would fit, but I won't try anyway.

Ah I really enjoyed Honey I shrunk the audience lol.

I went to see Toy Story in 3D when they re-released it last year, just as sort of nostalgia thing, gotta say though it really didn't look 3D. And it's totally put me off seeing the new one in 3D

TBH I don't really see the point in making animations in 3D, I can sort of just about understand it with live action, particularly films with vast effects and locations - reckon LOTR would be pretty good 3D-ified, but with animations? I dunno.

I've yet to be sold on the whole 3D thing anyway.

Oh, I totally agree on this point.
I couldn't believe they got on this way again, thought 3D died in the 80s. And I cannot get why it charms so many people. Well!
Especially I'm against 3D-ified films, at least things shot to be in 3D make sense, even though I don't like the idea.
This is why I think 3d animation done to be projected with 3d technology could be nice.
Lol you say you see a point in making live action 3d more than animation, I think the opposite. I guess because animation can be felt more easily as a "game" that is how I still look at 3d - still more of an amusement experiment than a visual technology - my fault!
But in the end our point is the same... 3D has no sense! And IDGI.
