My grandparents had a dog named Dutchess. And then one named Princess. We called Princess "Princie". It wasn't SO bad ;)

A "Duchy" is a territory owned by a Duke, and a "dutchy" is a blunt. THIS WILL NOT END WELL.

Hey now... I had a cat named Duchess and it worked just fine for her. She was awesome and we referred to her as Duchess. What's with everyone's obsession with shortening names?

"Come here, The Duchess of Greentree."

"Sit, The Duchess of Greentree."

"WHERE ARE YOU, THE DUCHESS OF GREENTREE?!"

That, my dear, is why we shorten names. :p
