Something nice happened to me. :-) The first part of it happened months ago and I almost wrote about it then, but didn't; more has happened, so here you go.
How lovely! I think being painted as a fortune-teller would be smashing, I hope that when all this happens some form of evidence will be posted on your lj!
Of course you are beautiful and totally paint-worthy! I would photograph you in a heartbeat :-) The is the coolest and I will be anxiously awaiting seeing the final product :-)
Well, I'm a slacking one. I have a BFA in Photography, but I have been living that grotesque 9-5 life for the last six years (and also no longer have access to a dark room). I'm going to try to get back into making polaroid transfers very soon, though. I just bought a new flash for my camera and need to have the camera tweaked a bit. As soon as I get a scanner, I'll be sure to share. I'm not very much into digital photography, other than for snapshots.
I suppose I should come clean and tell you that you are very beautiful. You have a unique and romantic air about you that is totally unlike the beauty of most American women, or indeed most women. You are, in truth, a "stunner".
I am very happy for you. His style is pretty South American, but maybe you'll bring out the Pre-Raphaelite in him! This is so exciting! It must be a dream come true for you :)
Thank you my dear. :-) Hope it didn't seem like I was "fishing" when I said I'd accept pretty but not beautiful; I was trying to give an honest assessment of my own looks...lol (As if it were possible for any of us to do that, eh?)

I certainly hope so. LOL I do wish he had some of his more recent paintings online; they are better than the ones on the site. He did mention the annoyance and necessity of having had to paint in "a style that sells," so possibly the brightly colored style was in demand when he lived in Brazil and Mexico.
Maybe you can come down for a Final Friday sometime, and we can go to the Pendleton. I think you'd enjoy it. There's a painter there whose work I consider superb (wish she wanted to paint me too!). For this month's Final Friday, we'll be at Summerland, though. :-) A different kind of fun...

Yes, I'll try to come down for a Final Friday. But I'll be at Summerland, too, next Friday. I can't wait!
