I haven't heard warmongering from him (certainly not like Hillary), but he has managed to alienate much of the gay community lately.
Eh, it's all a matter of degree though. Nobody with a chance of winning will be perfect for anybody, so you just try to get the best you can get.
(Personally Edwards and Obama are my top choices right now, but it'd be hard to be worse than the fearmongering and hate coming from everyone on the other side.)
It was in August I think... he made a big tough-guy speech about invading Pakistan. (Oh, THAT'S a grand idea. That's just what we need.) Also talked about increasing troops in Afghanistan. It was probably in response to the Hillary camp's criticism of him as being naive about defense, etc. I was very disappointed.
Well, at least Pakistan makes more sense than Iraq or Iran, based on what's going on there. Still not a great idea, but Pakistan certainly hasn't been acting like the ally that the Bush administration treats it as. The stuff they claimed Iraq was doing is much more accurately descriptive of Pakistan.
And the Iraq war has sapped strength from the efforts in Afghanistan, where they had been making real progress until then. The Taliban and Al Qaeda have been resurging there and in Pakistan as a result.
A pacifist will never get elected president. The best I can hope for is someone that won't go off on bad justifications at bad targets the first chance (s)he gets.

Goodness no, I don't expect a pacifist. But like you, I've just had it up to here with fake-ass wars spurred by fake-ass motives. Also pretty tired of the jingoism and manipulative "tough talk" that's supposed to make ignorant people feel better about this or that potential leader. Ugh, what a country...
Rigged. That is a good word for it! I've had that feeling about this for quite awhile. Almost like it's some ... social experiment or something. *sigh* It'll be interesting ....
