Oooooh. This has changed so much over the years... favorite *dishes* would be easier...
1) India Hyde Park (a strip mall Indian place has the best Indian food evah!) 2) Myra's Dionysus (cheap and wonderful food, mostly Middle Eastern -- on campus) 3) Kun Ying (Thai) -- downtown, terrible service, great food, the Pad See Yew is to die for 4) Montgomery Inn (only ate there once but it was about the best thing I've ever had, tournedos of beef with sundried tomatoes in a whisky butter sauce) 5) Claddagh Irish Pub (ate there once recently, surprisingly GOOD food)
Hmmmm... very hard to know what's considered a cult classic. Some people would call some of mine terribly mainstream; others have never heard of them. For example some regard 'Donnie Darko' or 'Mulholland Drive' as cult classics, whereas I think they went mainstream. (Though I still love them.)
1) Picnic At Hanging Rock 2) Fanny and Alexander 3) The Company of Wolves 4) The Wicker Man 5) Cache' (2005)
Hmmmmm! This is very hard. I'm having a hard time separating out actresses I like as actresses, and those I like in part because I'm enamored of them. Also, sometimes people shine for me in a particular performance but I don't regard them as a favorite in general (e.g., Dianne Wiest in "Bullets Over Broadway").
Pure acting: Kate Winslet, Meryl Streep, Jodie Foster, Holly Hunter, Naomi Watts
Personal adoration: Isabella Rossellini, Nastassja Kinski, Scarlett Johanssen, Jennifer Tilly, Phoebe Cates, Ziyi Zhang
More actresses I admire: Helen Mirren, Cate Blanchett, Juliette Binoche, Helena Bonham Carter, Frances McDormand, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Charlotte Rampling, Kathy Bates, Greta Scacchi
Iconic favorites: Vivien Leigh, Natalie Wood, Audrey Hepburn, Olivia de Havilland, Shirley Jones
Actresses I'd Like to Slap: Cameron Diaz, Samantha Mathis, Julia Roberts, Sarah Jessica Parker
