Very interesting interpretation of the two brothers' characters and relationship and attitudes towards one another. Thanks for sharing.

Powerful chapter. As much as I wanted the brothers to make up sooner, I understand how much pain Aberforth still suffered as a result of their sister's death and then his family's. I love how you showed them throughout the major events, and their goodbye was perfect and very realistic. And Albus visiting Gellert one last time--really liked that bit.

Fantastic!

I'm glad you used the word realistic to describe that scene. Capturing Albus' spoken voice is beyond difficult for me, as I'm pretty blunt and he's way too cryptic. So Aberforth, well, I love writing him, but Albus makes me nauseous.

I'm so glad you enjoyed this story. I've been dying to write about the two of them for years, but I fell out of fandom for a bit, and, well, this is the result of me diving back in to it. The Albus/Gellert scenes were my favorite to write.

Thank you :)

Oh thank you! I'm really glad you liked it. Family dynamics is basically my favorite thing to delve into in fics, so this was my baby. Especially since there's so much history, and wrong doing, and anger.

Thank you for reading :)

Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm really glad you liked the different relationships I tried to explore. :)

The main purpose of that line is to show that the only person who could have stopped Albus from having Snape kill him was Grindelwald. Let's face it, he's Albus Dumbledore. I'm sure he could've found a cure for his arm. And Gellert could have begged him to. I like to believe that their love was such that if Gellert asked Albus to stay alive, then Albus wouldn't have asked Snape to kill him. But Gellert doesn't think he has the right to interfere with Albus' life anymore, because he hasn't really been in the living world for years-he's been trapped in the half life of Nurmengard.

I hope that explains a bit. Thank you, again, for reading. And for your thoughtful comment. :)
