*pat pat* The worst offender for planned obsolescence is electronics.

But the garment/fashion industry too...It used to be that Italian and French clothes will last you _decades_ (I have shirts that I've had for at least a dozen years). But nowadays, according to my mom, even Italian and French clothes don't last for a long time. And of course cheapo clothes only last, what, half a dozen times (if that) in the washer before it looks worn. !111 WASTE, WASTE EVERYWHERE. >=(

(Boiled) tap water in Bali tastes oily, for some reason. East Coast water didn't taste good to me; don't remember what it tastes like. Canada hardly has any water fountain.

Is it just his writing style that you can't get into or...?

I think I've only had tap water in Vancouver? When I was in Toronto I probably drank mineral water/bottled water exclusively. Or if I did drink tap water I couldn't tell the difference.
