Never heard it called aubergine here. I think my problem is because I don't think the veg looks egg-like at all. Chinese eggplants are long and phallic lol.

2. I hate Amy because she burned Jo's notebooks (all those stories! Gone forever D=) My 10 y.o. self thought Jo should hate her forever for that transgression. I was, "Phsaw, so she fell into a frozen lake and almost died. BUT SHE BURNED JO'S PRECIOUS STORIES."
If Louisa May Alcott were alive, I would e-mail her (respectfully) "But Jo and Laurie belong together forever and ever! Surely anyone can see that!"

Oh my. I didn't recognize it was Little Women you were talking about. (No coffee yet - brain functions are low). Plus the title is so different from the French ("Dr March's Four Daughters") that I only recently discovered that this much talked-about book was the same I loved so much as a child, and have yet to read again.
I remember enough of the story to agree with you on the Jo/Laurie thing, though.

Why is it Dr March instead of Marmee March? We only see their dad in the very last chapter =O
I was so upset when I watched the movie (I haven't read Little Men at the time so didn't know that Laurie ended up with Amy and Jo ended up with Bhaer). But. It's true that Laurie's immature compared to Jo. They have different values and are better off as friends ^^;;
7. USE GOOGLE, PEOPLE! I mean, I know that adults often lack the imagination and curiosity of a child, but this is getting ridiculous GRRR. The two rl friends I have that show an academic/bookish bent are men.
Ahem.
3. Pin-pon! You're right =D My cousin was the one who stepped on a sea urchin, not me. And you don't pluck out the spines, you pulverize the spines by hitting it repeatedly. Ouch =S
8. I've never been to Australia and New Zealand, which needs to be remedied if only because I want to visit the filming site of LotR. Hobbit holes!
4. Ox soup = OM NOM NOM
Wanna take another guess which one is the second lie? ;-)

He discovered that she's as self-centered as he is they share the same values. They have lots and lots of blond babies together. The end.
