Comparatively, though.

I mean, I know the prince character's a total lolita perv, and Misaki's mother is just Not Right In The Head, but ehh...

The concept of dolls being modified, fighting Pokemon-style, isn't as creepy as falling in love with your doll, being possessed by your doll, having your doll grant you wishes For A Scary Price In The Future, etc.

Dolls fighting = less creepy than some old man dressing & undressing their figurines in bondage gear and candle wax D: dolls that are just there for you to dress up

yea but the AL dolls are ALSO there for pple to dress up =O
and there's a lot about that finding a connection with your doll, the analogies just aren't right =O
i dunno, i saw a lot of lesbianism in hikaru and her master and some pretty creepy doll owners and the fact that they're all as young as they were just makes it worse OO

and yes, ddr to beethoven SOUNDS wrong, but it could be so right.....
