Oh, NO! With this poll you got me thinking wrong porny thoughts in which Merlin is 15 (so completely underaged), just looking quite older and Arthur is 18 and ... arghh. You see where this is going, right? Now there's even more parallels btw Arthur/Merlin and Peter/Edmund than there were already (ignoring the profound difference that P/E are brothers).
Anyway, I lurves polls... no matter what strange thoughts and ideas they give me. Halp!
Ha, I have way more specifications than that, which is why I don't consider Merlin/Arthur or Yuuri/Wolfraam as similar or parallel to H/D.
Merlin/Arthur is more like Remus/Sirius =3
Also! The brother kinship between Peter and Edmund is v. v. important, I think. Whereas I don't get "brother" vibes between Merlin and Arthur at all. I don't even get "BFF" vibes between them, TBH. The whole dying for each other thing = beyond BFFs O_o
