Love Dean's courage and determination in the bar (almost said dogged courage, but that was too punny, if true ;) and of course, Ellen is awesome, she knows exactly how to defuse the situation. Good to see Sam talking sense and John listening- bodes well.

Dean's quick thinking here, too- glad John appreciates that, and with luck will figure out how far Dean will go for his help, and give a little back!
Also- I'm sure he is adorable. Nothing's sweeter than a puddle of happy Rottweiler :)

I love it! The idea of a "freak" Dean, despised by other hunters and his own unsuspecting father is novel to me, and I really enjoy Dean-Sam/John interaction.
The funny thing is that I stumbled on this story while looking for Dexter fanfiction, and I'm glad that I did. :)
