I completely understand that (even if I'm not that good at it.)

I just read this story after a rec on spnstoryfinders and gotta say it is an amazingly believable alternate take on canon. My heart broke for Dean, left all alone in the family business, everyone he loved or cared for dead except for Sammy. And Sam has managed to convince himself that the family business was just the insane delusions of his father, who also managed to pull Dean down with him, in the. The final stab - he betrays Dean, reveals his MO, leads the BAU to him - just heartbreaking.

Scary thought, could Sam have been right to escape the family madness before it destroyed him too? Seriously - ghosts, demons, evil monsters that go bump in the night - madness, right?

Very well written and enjoyed immensely. And I do hope that you decide to revisit this AU at some point in time, I'd love to see more.

Thanks, sorry for taking so long to respond. (I honestly didn't see this comment any sooner)

I like to think that it's not so much that Sam was betraying his brother, as that he was trying to protect him. That he was worried of Dean getting killed if he didn't speak up.
