Sometimes I think that my daughter teaches me more than I will ever be able to teach her. It's amazing how she gets such a delight in the little things. She really teaches me to slow down, live in the moment. We were outside today, nothing real big, just running around the yard. What's for dinner?
We needed to run some errands, one of them involved the local mall. I told my wife, Michele, to go do what she needed and Rachel and I would play on the food. Yes, you read that right. What time is it?
The other night I made a bungling error that ended up confusing poor little Rachel and cause a rough night. Routinely, Rachel wakes up in the middle of the night a calls for us, saying, "More." I've been thinking a lot lately about starting up a blog. I know that I, of course, have a livejournal account, but to me there seems to be a little bit of a difference. While livejournal does have a community, the community seems to be limited in livejournal. This might just be my imagination ( Read more... ) -
Rough morning
Yesterday was a pretty rough day for me and little Rachel. She was a little better in the afternoon, after her nap, but still pretty bad. I'm not sure what the problem was, maybe it's that she's nearing the terrible twos. It's Been Slow
The last couple of days around here has been pretty slow, punctuated by excitement. I'm sure I do not live in an extremely hot area which is good because I'd die. Spring Cleaning!?!
Before I go into how much I cleaned and straightened today, I better mention that there have been many fights over my lack of work around the house. I'm doing more recently because I care more, but also Rachel is playing by herself more and does not need constant supervision.
