The fact that it took seven high-powered machine-gun rounds to break the katana is actually very suprising. What size was that gun?

There never seems to be a truly clear view of the shells (to bad this is so compressed, it would be nice to see the original), and sadly my machine-gun identification skills aren't great. I'm going to guess some variety of .30, I have only seen a few .50s in person but I recall them being larger ( ... )
