Charles: "So, how did you get ensnared by your captain?"

Rolas: "She caught my ship, then didn't know what to do when she found out my family couldn't possibly pay any ransom. And you with your captain?"

Charles: "That's simple enough. I was one of the naval intelligence officers tasked with arresting her."
