Vision is pain.

So I go to the eye doctor today to get a new perscription and contacts. As I had expected, my vision has decreased 50-60% ( I will probably be legally blind by the time I'm 30 ). So after she checked out my eyes and everything, we go out to the main room where you try out the contacts. Before you leave, you must have accomplished three things: 1 ( Read more... )

I just got contacts last week. I went in Friday before Christmas and they did my little test and gave me contacts. Please note I only got them because they are coloured not because I wanted vision correction. So they tell me my vision is fine and give me the contacts and I get them in and the doctor says they look fine but they feel like they are gripping my eyes with metal edges. No matter. I simply assume that's what they feel like. Eight hours later my eyes still water up and I go blind for a minute. I had to go back the next Friday so they could do a final check on my trial pair....and it takes me THIRTY MINUTES

THIRTY MINUTES to get them in my eyes. It was very embarassing. My eyes are all red and puffy.

Exactly what happened today. After I got them in, they were all red and hurt like hell.

No, I was kinda joking. But who knows? My vision sucks ass really bad. It decreases by at least 50% every six-twelve months. I probably won't be blind, but I'll be 45 with big-ass granny bifocals. Lucky me.

it took me 45 minutes to put mine in i will mever forget because the guy that helped me was really cute and i felt like a dork just sitting there being scared to touch my eye i don't pull back my upper lid that's to much work. try putting the contact on you finger and pulling the lower lid down and just placing it in there most of the time it works first time and you'll not have any problems althought some times you have to get the air bubbles out.
But that's just patting your eye. good luck

When I got my contacts, I was cussing up and down trying to get those things in for the first time.

Good times, good times. And I don't even wear them much. Of course, they are in Omaha right now.
